ENGINEER (GRADE 9) & SENIOR CONTRACT SPECIALIST - TIGO,


OCS Engineer (Grade 9)

JOB PURPOSE

Administer daily system operation and maintenance of all operational support systems nodes, to ensure accurate report
generation with minimum disruptions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Daily operation and maintenance of all OSS nodes
• Attend to and resolve all OSS alarms using standard vendor documentation for operation and maintenance.
• Escalate and coordinate resolution of all unresolved oss outstanding faults with vendors.
• Oversee the creation all various reports from OSS nodes
• Ensure generated reports are correctly delivered to designated users
• Perform requisite daily, weekly and monthly backups of OSS nodes.
• Investigate and resolve user complaints related to the OSS nodes.
• Manage the upgrade and/expansion of all OSS nodes.
• Accurately report and document any related system failures
• Ensure adequate capacity planning is observed on all OSS nodes
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
• Serve as backup for assigned position
• Be available on the phone for 24 hours
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor degree in Electronic, Computer, or Telecom Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience on OSS

• Excellent in oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated stable proven track record telecom company
• Independent and with good work attitude with high level of integrity

Qualifications:
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Senior Contract Specialist

JOB PURPOSE

1. To provide supplier operational performance and relationship management for a portfolio of allocated contracts.
2. To provide a lead role in the operational delivery and monitoring of contracts and supplier performance
3. To support the operation team to deliver efficiencies and service improvements, including continuous improvement activities.
4. To be point of escalation for all issues relating to allocated suppliers


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing performance to SLAs and against KPIs.
• Manage operational delivery in line with contractual objectives and customer requirements.
• Establish and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders and suppliers including effectively managing contract enquiries, issues, disputes, variations, risks and undertaking negotiations with suppliers as required.
• Developing new contracts and legal documents e.g. credit note, Instruction to proceed (ITP) and termination letters
• Manage supplier relationship by conducting supplier relationship surveys
• Research and analyse contract related information including supplier contract reporting, and provide reports regarding contract activity and performance to Management & GroupInternal and external audit liaison and coordination for P&SCM
• Management, tracking and reporting performance of operational processes and support operational improvement initiatives
• Organise and chair Steering Committees Administer any damages/reduction of service fees or extension of business
• Any other assignment as may be assigned by Head of department

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Business Administration, Procurement and Logistics Management and/or related fields
• Knowledge in telecommunication technical operations environment

• High level interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders in providing expert

contract management advice to enable achievement of desired outcomes.
• High level communication skills at all levels (written and verbal) and the ability to undertake negotiations with suppliers

in the resolution of disputes.
• Demonstrated investigative and analytical skills including the ability to use MS Excel, MS Project, MS Visio, Database

and Reporting systems.
• Ability to review, develop and implement guidelines and operating processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver project outcomes within specified parameters including timeframes

and objectives.
• Ability to identify continuous improvement and innovation opportunities in processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Ability to work under limited direction, including experience in planning, prioritising and organising work for self and

others to achieve goals and deadlines.
