THE GOVERNMENT TO DISMISS 400 SPECIALIST STAFF WITH STANDARD SEVEN EDUCATION LEVEL

More than 400 Government employees expect to be retired from Morogoro in terms of failure to pursue education after being employed 13 years ago having basic education certificates.

The majority of them are nurses, health workers, drivers, office officials, local executives, villages and ward have already been denied their monthly salaries.

Commenting on the exercise of the KZN Regional Executive Committee in Kilosa District, Mashaka Motile said in the district that more than 80 employees were denied salary without any explanation and afterwards they were informed that they were given time to develop and failed to do so.

No letter was given to us for suspension but the July salary was not given to us and we were told there was a Government document saying all those employed since May 20, 2004 with basic education and failure to continue they should be removed," he said.

Motile says he and some of the other executives were suspended because the order says they should not be banned from May 20, 2004 but they were hired in May, 2004.

Speaking of the government's decision, the Morogoro municipal health minister who did not want his name to be told said the decision was too sudden and did not give them time to develop.

"I urge the government to add three years to improve our sense of urgency, as soon as our family has been suspended, it will be severely affected and there is a danger for our children to quit school," he said.

When addressing the exercise of the exercise of the Director Kilosa District Council Director Kessy Mkambala said the exercise is still under way and I will be able to talk about it.

And the Secretary of Local Government Staff (TALGWU) in Morogoro, Lawrence Mdega, has said they have received complaints from more than 150 workers complaining of being removed from primary education.

"I have submitted these complaints to TALGWU's headquarters to deal with, but we want these employees to be paid a salary in July who have already worked for them but also paid their rewards because they served the Government for their integrity and their basic education certificates.
