St John’s University of
Tanzania (SJUT) is a relatively young but dynamic university aspiring to

campus is located at Kikuyu area in Dodoma, about 3.5km southwest of the

SCHOOL OF PHARMACY AND PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES (SOPH)
1. Job Title: TUTORIAL ASSISTANTS (3 Posts) – Re-advertised
(a) Reports to: Dean, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SOPH)
(b) Duty Station: SJUT, Chief Mazengo Campus – Dodoma
(c) Job Summary: With guidance of senior staff conduct teaching, research and public services as consultancy and community engagement.
(d) Qualification: Holder of a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy or in relevant field. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale.
(e) Experience: With a minimum of three (3) years working experience in tertiary education institutions.

FACULTY OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCES (FaNAS)
2. Job Title: ASSISTANT LECTURER – PHYSICS (1 Post) – Re-advertised
Assistant Lecturer in Atomic Physics or Quantum Physics and Electron Magnetism and Electronics or Thermodynamics (1 Post)

on a 5-point scale for a Master’s degree or equivalent.

COMMUNICATION AND MARKETING UNIT
6. Job Title: COMMUNICATION AND MARKETING MANAGER – Re-advertised
(a) Reports to: Vice Chancellor.
(b) Job Summary: The
purpose of the post is to assist the Vice Chancellor in the performance
of duties pertaining to internal and external communication, marketing,
partnership development and public relations.

(c) Skills and Abilities: A qualified candidate for this position shall possess the following skills and abilities:
(i) Ability to develop a vision, mission and direction for the University in communication and marketing strategies;
(ii) Ability to interpret and promote the University’s communication and marketing functions and objectives;
(iii) Ability to stimulate and encourage new ideas and developments through motivation and support for staff and students;
(iv) Skills in strategic management, communication, interpersonal, public relations and negotiations;
(v) Ability to influence, persuade and build coalitions and networks;
(vi) Ability to effectively contribute/function in a Christian Institution of higher learning; and
(vii)
Significant familiarity with the Anglican Church of Tanzania set up and
adequate knowledge of the higher education sector nationally and
internationally.

Holder of a Master’s degree in Communication, Corporate Communications,
Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing
Communication, or equivalent, from a recognized institution.
(e) Experience: At least a minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience in a senior managerial position.
(f) Salary Scale: Staff salary rank plus duty post allowance according to SJUT Scheme of Service
