Material Engineer at China Railway Seventh Group Co. Ltd

China Railway Seventh Group Co. Ltd (CRSG) is a civil construction company registered under Contractors Registration Board (CRB) for roads and buildings constructions.

Now is looking for qualified candidates to fill the following job positions in one of our road project located in Karatu District.

 

POSITION: MATERIAL ENGINEER

Requirements:

1. Familiar with Tanzania Road Specifications Standards For Road Works, Laboratory Testing Manual, Pavement and Materials Design Manual
2. With at least (5) years material engineer work experience and good management skills to manage all the laboratory works and staff
3. Should be able to choose proper lab equipments according to the requirement of the project, and operate the test equipments skillfully, meanwhile with ability to guide the technicians
4. Capable of Interpreting the material inspection report, test report and preparing the report.
5. With good communication and interpersonal skills so as to communicate effectively with field personnel and engineers.

Technical requirements:

1. Should be capable of conducting performance testing, evaluation of construction materials (soil, sand, gravel, asphalt, rebar), and giving technical advice on the suitability of materials
2. Capable of concrete design
3. Capable of Cement stabilization design
4. Able to arrange and operate on-site testing
5. Able to prepare quality control plan, quality control report, and on-site investigation report for certain works quality issues
