HIV TESTER ( 8 POST )

JOB SUMMARY
An HIV Tester requires extensive current knowledge of the HIV Prevention measures. The tester must enjoy working with other people have a compassionate nature and be a good listener. A broad knowledge of diverse cultural belief and attitude is often necessary when working with diverse population
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• S/HE is responsible to create awareness and education on the existence of HTS i.e educating clients all aspects of HIV diseases and treatment management as well as basic health lifestyle
• To serve liaison between clinicians/clinics and individuals screened and care centres
• To provide on-going counseling and HIV testing while maintaining confidentially and patient rights also to provide psychosocial support and assist with linkage to referral services
• To assess document all referrals make follow-up and report on referral outcomes
• To monitor the quality of test kits by the use of suitable control materials/ samples from laboratory department
• To be in line with current IITS protocols/ guideline t ensure correct testing services
• To ensure safe storage of IITS related items and request/prepare all the necessary consumable for undertaking the HTS activities on time
• To compile and submit the HTS report on weekly monthly and or quarterly to the HTS COORDINATORS on time
• To keep accurate HTS records (logbook, HTS register, reports and referral linkage report)
• Ensure HIV TESTING is performed according to the national HIV Testing Algorithm
• To carry out any other duties that may be required by the clinical team
QUALIFICATIONS
At least certificates in HTS COUNCELING and Testing (IV & AIDS) from recognized institute Diploma/certificate in nursing will be added advantage
A candidate must be at least 3 years of experience on HIV testing services
S/HE must have a valid practice license
Phlebotomy experience will be a added advantage
CLINICAL TRACKER 1 POST
REPORT TO FACILITY IN-CHARGE
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify patients who missed their clinical visit schedule timely and conduct telephone tracking
Prepare and share with CBHS providers peers community tracker list of clients who were not found troughs phone and those who don’t have telephone
Updates all tracing outcome into their tracking register
Facilitate entry of tracking outcome into CTC 2 card and database with clinician/ councelor and data officer
Conduct weekly review and ensure all tracking outcome are updated and entered on CTC 2 database
Ensure unknown clients are tracked timely and 70% returned to care monthly
Work with referral focal counselor and data officer to confirm all ransfer out in respective facility
Provide health education on importance of clinic adherence to the client and family
Record and report tracking services daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly
Participate I data management and net loss analysis in respective facility and district
REQUIREMENTS
i. HIV/AIDS Tracker required a basic training of HIV/AIDS management, knowledge and skills of home based care, counceling and tracking skills
ii. A minimum of form four education
iii. At least 1 year experience of working on the field
iv. At least certificate in basic computer will be in added advantage
v. Good in both oral and written English and Kiswahili
vi. Able to work in independently and in teams
vii. Committed to work and adheres to work regulations
viii. Maintains confidentially in all aspects
ix. Analytical and problem – solving skills, mult -tasking and organizational skills
