The government employs 1600 teachers of science.
Deputy Secretary-General Ministry of Regional Administration and Local Government EDUCATION TIXON NZUNDA said the government intends to employ one thousand six hundred science teachers by December this year.

Speaking to secondary school teachers in Bogwe district in Kasulu district in Kigoma, NZUNDA said the government has now set priorities for employing science teachers, which is a major requirement for secondary schools compared with other academic teachers and that teachers will be divided into secondary schools in the country to reduce the problem of science teachers.

In addition, NZUNDA said from now on, there would be no attempt to raise teachers for a three-year course and instead the teacher would raise a bridge from his efforts in teaching where he also noted that the government is determined to finalize the various debt claims of teachers by mid-sixth.
